Rotary
is built upon fellowship and friendship, which depends on your
presence at meetings. A Rotarian is expected to attend most of the
club's weekly meetings, at least 60 percent at his or her home club.
It is understood that this requirement can cause a problem in our
busy world. Members can "make up" their weekly meeting by
attending a meeting 14 days before or after - at any of the 29,000
clubs in the world. Each make-up of visit affords Rotarians a great
opportunity to broaden their acquaintance and bring back to their
home club information and ideas.
 Here
are some benefits of becoming a Rotarian:
-
Experiencing
the joy of helping others in our community.
-
Participating
in meaningful projects on a local, national and worldwide scale.
-
Broadening
your circle of friends and acquaintances.
-
Expanding
your knowledge of community businesses and professions.
-
Developing
your leadership talent.
-
Achieving
recognition for yourself and your business by participating in
community service activities.
-
Increasing
your knowledge of world affairs, including developing a keener
appreciation of the customs and character of other people.
-
Gaining
a sense of personal fulfillment in making a contribution to the
betterment of the local and international community.
-
Acquiring
a warm welcome in almost every corner of the world as a result
of your membership in Rotary International.
